How to make the best Homemade Crispy Fried Chicken Legs recipe:

Here we are talking about a super crispy fried homemade chicken recipe for the most delicious dish. Your children cannot resist this tasty crunchy chicken.

This is my second recipes in homemade recipe Lockdowns series. In our quarantine we have to find something delicious and tasty to have.

The secret of the success of this recipe is the spices you use. When you use different kinds of spices it will give it a stronger flavor. So be ready for a lot of spices in this crispy chicken legs dish.

Boiling the chicken:

I love the taste of chicken to be soft and crunchy so I start by boiling the chicken first. To boil the chicken all you have to do is to bring a deep pot and add one spoon of any veggie oil. When the oil is heated add the chicken and stir for 1 minutes and then immediately add water over the chicken. Then add one teaspoon of salt and one Laurel into the water. Cover the chicken till it boils and is cooked well.

Prepare the strong-spices mixture:

While your chicken is cooked prepare your strong-flavored spices mixture. All you have to do is to add all your spices into a mixer and mix them well till all the ingredients are mixed together very well. If you lack any of the spices I am using, don’t worry you can use any suitable spices in your kitchen and still have the strong flavor you need.

I use a lot of different spices together to give that tasty flavor in each bite of chicken flesh. I also add starch, flour and oats to help the spices to stick to the chicken flesh during frying the chicken.

Applying the spices to the chicken:

Bring two deep dishes to add the spices in to dip the chicken into the mixture. In one dish crack the two eggs and a sprinkle of black pepper then scramble them very well. And in the other dish add the spices mixture of spices, flour, oats, starch.

First you dip your chicken in the scrambled eggs fish till the chicken is fully covered with the eggs mixture. The dip the chicken into the spices mixture till it is fully covered with the spices and flour.

Then with your hands press gently over the chicken from all the side to make sure that your spices mixture is stick to the chicken flesh. Repeat this step over all the chicken flesh.

Frying the chicken:

Preheat the oil into a deep pan before start frying the chicken so the chicken will be fried from both sides easier. Don’t put the chicken into the pan before you make sure that the oil is heated. Be careful not to overheat the oil so it won’t be burnt out or burn the chicken while frying it.

When the oil is ready, add the chicken into the heated pan and fry it till the chicken legs’ colors turn into golden brown. Then flip the chicken over the other side to fry it. When its color turns into golden brown take it out of the pan and set aside.

I prefer to put the fried crispy chicken in a dish with kitchen paper towels over it, so the kitchen paper towels will absorb the unnecessary oil from the chicken. If you don’t have kitchen paper towels you can skip this step. Now the delicious crispy chicken is ready to be eaten. All your family will clean their dishes with these tasty crunchy chicken legs.

How to serve it:

You can have your crispy chicken with rice: White Rice with Filini Pasta and soup. serve it when it is hot.

  • 6 pieces of chicken legs.
  • veggie oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon raw oats
  • 1 tablespoon starch
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried coriander powder.
  • 5 Fresh dill
  • 5 Fresh parsley


Boiling the chicken:

  • Preheat deep pot then add one tablespoon of veggie oil.
  • Add the chicken legs over and stir for 1 minute.
  • Add water over the chicken, then add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 laurel
  • leave it boiling till the chicken is well cooked.

Prepare the strong-spices mixture:

  • In a mixture add all dry ingredients and all different
  • Mix all the different kinds of spices with the flour, oats, and starch.

Applying the spices to the chicken:

  • In two separate dish add the dry ingredients in one of the dishes , and crack two eggs into the second dish.
  • Add black paper over the egg and scramble it well.
  • Dip the chicken flesh into the egg mixture to fully covered with eggs.
  • Dip the chicken flesh into the other dish with spices mixture.

Frying the chicken:

  • Preheat a pan with a great amount of veggie oil.
  • Add the chicken into the pan and wait till its colors trun into golden brown.
  • Flip the chicken over the other side and wait till its colors trun into golden brown too.
  • Serve when it is hot.
